What is a Countdown Timer?
A countdown timer counts down from a specified duration to zero. It is commonly used for cooking, workouts, presentations, exams, and productivity techniques like the Pomodoro method.
How to Use
- Set hours, minutes, and seconds — or use a quick preset.
- Click Start to begin. Use Pause to temporarily stop.
- When the timer finishes, you'll hear an alarm sound and the tab title will flash.

Can I pause and resume?
Yes, click Pause at any time and Start to resume from where you left off. The remaining time is preserved.
What happens when the timer finishes?
An alarm sound plays (if enabled), the circular progress turns red, and the browser tab title flashes with bell emojis so you notice even if you're on another tab.
Can I mute the alarm?
Yes, toggle the sound button next to the controls to enable or disable the alarm. The visual tab notification will still work either way.
